PRE CLUB QUESTIONS

What is PRE CLUB?

 Pre club is an organization that will assist Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced players with skill development and allow those players to play in a league that will prepare them to play competitive Club competition.

How will teams be selected?

 No athlete will be left behind. All athletes will make a Hard Hitters team. They will be placed on a team based off of their skill set.

How Many Practices and Trainings?

1 Practice a week , 1 training a week for 2 hours

Is it $310 per season?

Yes, and that covers Trainings, Facility, and League fee. Training will allow the athlete develop the fundamentals of volleyball

CLUB QUESTIONS

What is included in season Fees?  

 Registration , Tournament entry fees, Gym Rentals, Practice facilities, Uniforms, Bags, Socks, Staff Salary, and SA administration, Insurance, Banquet Hall

    Fees does not include personal travel and food expenses, personal training expenses, USAV . 

What is “Club Volleyball”, and how to I get my son/daughter involved?  

Club Volleyball is the term that is used to describe the development of club teams (described below), training, tournaments/competition that most often culminates in participation. ATX Hard Hitters will have K5-3rd grade co-ed prep teams. We also have Age classes existing for 11U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U. 

  How does my athlete tryout? 

Tryouts begin in July

    How are teams selected?

 In the same way athletes/parents are asking questions about specific clubs and coaches, clubs and coaches are also learning about athletes. This is done a variety of ways:

For most teams, open tryouts is where majority of athletes are identified and selected.

Occurring more often at older ages, some coaches are out watching athletes during school season, at camps/clinics, and other locations inviting those to open tryouts, and in other cases offering a spot directly onto their team (before tryouts). 

  Is Club Volleyball tied to school or community club system? 

No, Club Volleyball is not affiliated with either the school or community club system. 

  Is there a Club League? 

No, there is no league organized by Hard Hitters Volleyball Club. Rather teams practice, and enter a variety of tournaments, which are initiated/organized/run by Clubs, schools, universities, colleges or any other organization.

   How many practices/games per week will there be for club teams?  

Each Team will practice 1-2 days a week for 2 hours.

Local Vs Travel tournaments?

Local tournaments are in DFW and surrounding cities in TX. Travel tournaments will be located out of state

How long does a season last? 

Club season lasts from November to April 

 When are we allowed to start practicing?

 Practices as a team should only occur after school resumes. We will begin practicing in October

  How often and where are the tournaments? 

Hard Hitters will participate in 6-8 tournaments from November- April. We travel from Austin TX to San Antonio. Our teams compete in most competitive tournaments.  

 Do you take beginners?  

We take Beginners, Intermediate, and Advance players.

 Do you offer Scholarships?

  Yes, Even though we make it affordable for athletes to play we do offer Scholarships. We also have fundraisers to offset the cost. You must qualify for a scholarship. 

   What age can my athlete start? 

 We offer 11U-16U competitive
